Entry Requirements
Visa Information
Most nationalities require a visa to enter Tanzania. Visas are available on arrival at major airports or through the convenient e-visa system.

US Citizens (Multiple Entry)
$100 (multiple entry visa)
E-Visa Application
Apply online at immigration.go.tz (recommended 2+ weeks before travel)
Visa on Arrival
Available at Kilimanjaro (JRO), Dar es Salaam (DAR), and Zanzibar (ZNZ) airports
Zanzibar
Same Tanzania visa applies. No separate visa needed

- Return or onward flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or safari confirmation)

Malaria is present throughout Tanzania, including all major safari destinations. Taking preventative measures is strongly recommended for all visitors.
- Anti-malaria medication is strongly recommended. Consult your doctor before travel
- Common options: Malarone (atovaquone/proguanil), Doxycycline, or Mefloquine
- Use DEET-based insect repellent (30%+ concentration)
- Wear long sleeves and long pants during the evening and night
- Sleep under mosquito nets (provided at all our partner accommodations)
